The first study visit of the OPINA project was held between 26-30 September 2022 in Germany and Holland. The objective of the visit was to gain insight about main infrastructure and facilities as well as operational and financial management of the host institutions to contribute to the sustainability of the OPINA project and to explore the possibilities of collaboration opportunities.

During the visit, the project representatives visited research facilities on autonomous vehicles, mobility and artificial intelligence clusters in Germany and the Netherlands including Bayern Innovative, CARISSMA Center of Automotive Research on Integrated Safety Systems and Measurement Area of Technischen Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), Applied AI and MCube – Munich Cluster for the future of Mobility in Metropolitan Regions at the Munich Urban Colab of Unternehmer TUM, Aldenhoven Testing Center, Brightlands Smart Services Campus, RWTH Aachen University – Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika), fka GmbH and Rotterdam Future Mobility Park. The representatives of Istanbul Okan University, Ministry of Industry and Technology, East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA), Turkish Electronics Industrialists’ Association (TESID) and Software Industrialists’ Association (YASAD) and the technical assistance team participated in the visits.
